Albury's beautiful Botanic Gardens have been established for over 130 years and give residents and tourists alike the opportunity to admire their historical and horticultural significance.
Over the years, the gardens have won many prizes for layout, design, plant selection and annual planting designs. Explore the 1,000 plus native and exotic plant species while walking along the curved paths and rounded shrub beds. Found in the gardens is the Hume Monument, Albury's tribute to Hamilton Hume who first discovered this area alongside William Hovell in 1824. The Hume monument was erected in 1858 and stood on the former site of Hume's Tree; it was moved to the Botanic Gardens when they were established. Children will love the running over the wooden bridge, dipping their toes into the small running stream, zigzagging through the bamboo garden and when completed, discovering the fairytale themed children's garden.

Hidden within the shade and beauty of the Albury Botanic Gardens, the Children's Garden provides a place where children can enjoy learning and exploring the gardens trails. Some of the things which may start your child's imagination running wild are the life-sized dinosaur with interactive speaking tubes, the living cubbies, a fairy temple, wetland and creek line, and the troll cave.
The Gardens are flat with wide compacted pathways winding through. Disabled parking and toilet facilities provided.
